The Crossdresser .com is upgrading to a dedicated server! And of course, all my sister websites like TGirl’s Blog are coming along with it. This means I will have an entire dual core Xeon computer completely dedicated to delivering my hot crossdressing content around the globe I’m pretty excited, and while you might not notice any differences after the upgrade (other than my pages loading a little faster), it will save me a TON of headaches. No more bandwidth spikes to worry about, no more running out of storage space, and I will be gaining a fully redundant RAIN backup of my entire site (which means no lost files in case of an emergency).

So you see, all of this will ensure that *all* of my photoshoots and videos end up on the web available for your download and enjoyment, plus it frees me up to focus on making *new* photos for my members

Ok, and while I’m being all excited about this new development for the site, it’s about time I mentioned how wonderful my hosting company is – sure, Way3 has great prices and fast servers, but they also have the most amazing customer service I’ve ever seen. I think the longest I’ve ever had to wait for a response (from a real person) is about 60 seconds . . . and the longest I’ve had to wait to get a problem completely fixed is around 5min. When you compare that to my old host where my site would go completely offline and take a week to get up and running again . . . Way3 is pretty amazing Add on top of that the fact that they’ve waived the bandwidth overage charges for my site when I get a mysterious spike in traffic, increased my storage space as my site expanded without charging me, etc. I really can’t say enough good things about them.

So if you’re looking into making a website, I highly recommend Way3 hosting – and tell them I sent you

So after my computer breaking down, I was out of town for a week on business (the real kind of business, not the fun kind). And the first day I was gone I checked my email only to discover a message that my websites had been suspended because they were getting too many visitors!

This continued to happen every single day of the week I was gone. Needless to say, I was not very happy with my hosting company. So I left them for a new bigger faster better server And now TGirl’s Blog and The Crossdresser .com are hosted by Way3.

Of course, because my old host is such a huge pain :fight: they made me transfer my entire site by FTP . . . so it took another whole week to get it on the new server (can you imagine trying to download then upload 30GB of files!?) But Way3 has been great about the entire process, so if you ever find yourself in need of a really cool web hosting company I highly recommend you check out Way3. Ask for Chris, and tell him that Katie-Ann sent you

I had all sorts of plans for my time off work over the holidays to catch up on TheCrossdresser.com, write some great posts here, finish a few projects, and get some work done around the house. But no, apparently life had other plans for me. Never fails, right?

I sat down at my computer yesterday to get down to some serious TGirl work when I see a note that my website is offline . . . that’s never a good start to the day, and wasn’t going to do much good to work on my site if it didn’t even exist. So obviously I decided to investigate. And to make a long story short, there was either a malicious attack on my site, or my hosting company can’t count. At the moment I think the odds are about 50/50, and I’m not expecting to actually find out what happened at this point. The result, however, was my site being down for the entire day (don’t worry, it’s back up now!).

Then, to make things even better, 15min into my above investigation there was a huge crash from upstairs . . . apparently my ceiling fan decided that it didn’t much like being on the ceiling anymore, because when I ran upstairs I found it on the floor.

So ALL day yesterday and half of today was wasted taking care of these two emergencies. Hopefully tomorrow will actually be productive . . .
