Business Trip + Blizzard = No Fun for a TGirl

It’s been awhile since my last post because I spent most of this week out of town on a business trip for my day job. And I was kind of excited about it because I figured I’d have lots of time to take pics for The Crossdresser .com in my (expensive) hotel room . . . but no such luck – the trip was crazy hectic, the hotel room was small and poorly lit, and I ended up getting sick.

Then when I left the hotel to drive home, I started hearing rumors about getting 12″ of snow . . . and sure enough by the time I got home there was a level 3 snow emergency and blizzard warnings out. That pic up there is my front porch after I shoveled a walkway through the 3-feet deep drifts After being out of town for a week, I had literally no food in the house, so I had to go back out to the grocery store the next morning.

The only good thing that came of this week is this really cool pic I managed to get of my landscape lights completely buried and shining up through the snow. And yes, it’s an HDR photo too. I’m getting better at this HDR thing . . . maybe I still think this looked better in real life, but overall it’s still a neat photo (imho ).

Anyway, I will hopefully catch up on posts this week, I’ve got a small stockpile of things to write about!

A TGirl in the Snow

It’s been snowing here for about 4 days now. Well, Cincinnati snow at least. So there’s actually about 1/2″ of snow, then 1/2″ of ice, then another 1/2″ of snow, and another 1/2″ of ice. When you step on it, the layers of ice crack and the sound echoes off all the unbroken snow . . . sounds like a gun going off, it’s crazy loud.

Well anyway, I had been wondering how long the snow would last, because I’ve always wanted to do a photoshoot in the snow but never had a good opportunity. And I’m not sure today was a “good opportunity” either, but I couldn’t pass up the perfect (looking) snow! Between the noise from walking on it and the fact that with no leaves on the trees my neighbor can see my entire yard, it was a little nerve wracking Especially when the neighbor’s dog heard me and started barking! Oh well, I didn’t get caught (that I know of), and the pics are pretty damn cute if I do say so myself :bubbles:

Cold Weather Sucks for TGirls

I know I’ve complained about shaving before, but this is miserable. I guess this is the first winter I’ve actually tried to keep myself smooth and sexy all the time – last few years I’ve dressed, I was only shaving when I wanted to do photos. Well anyway, between the cold and the dry air from furnaces I can’t keep my skin hydrated no matter what I do. Which means shaving just doesn’t go well. That, and getting goosebumps while shaving is really not good . . .

I guess it would help if I did a better job keeping up with lathering myself in lotion, but when it’s so damn cold that the lotion gives me goosebumps too, I don’t exactly look forward to doing it. Plus goosebumps stimulate hair growth and feel really icky when you have mostly shaved but really thick hair follicles. I get so disgusted though if I have any hair growing if from not shaving . . . so I can only stand a couple days and then I just soak in lotion for a night and shave everything off the next morning. I’m such a girl

The other thing that’s terrible about the cold weather is not getting any sun. I’m not one to go tanning or anything, and I actually like girls (myself included) who are a little pale . . . but a little dose of sunshine on a daily basis goes a long way for clearing up my skin and keeping it smooth. I would totally buy a tanning bed and use it for 2 min/day all winter. I wonder if that would be worth the money . . .

I know, I just need to move somewhere that doesn’t have cold winters . . .
