So . . . remember when I fried the shit out of my computer 6 weeks ago? Well it never quite recovered. I thought I had it fixed after I pulled the graphics cards and reformatted, but about once a week since then it just goes wacky. So every week I was pulling out another component or re-reformatting or something. This week was the last straw though – I was down to either the motherboard or the processor being bad, so I said hell with it and replaced the whole damn thing.

I built my new baby myself . . . which will either be good or bad – the last computer I built from scratch was installed in a wooden case with a dowel-rod reset button, drilled holes for a speaker port, and a screendoor patch kit as a dust cover for the fan (singular).

At least I won’t have to worry about overheating my new maching – the case has a 250mm fan in the side. Yes 250mm, almost a foot across. Plus a 120mm in the front and back, and a pair of 80mm fans on the roof. Think I’m a bit paranoid now?

So after my computer breaking down, I was out of town for a week on business (the real kind of business, not the fun kind). And the first day I was gone I checked my email only to discover a message that my websites had been suspended because they were getting too many visitors!

This continued to happen every single day of the week I was gone. Needless to say, I was not very happy with my hosting company. So I left them for a new bigger faster better server And now TGirl’s Blog and The Crossdresser .com are hosted by Way3.

Of course, because my old host is such a huge pain :fight: they made me transfer my entire site by FTP . . . so it took another whole week to get it on the new server (can you imagine trying to download then upload 30GB of files!?) But Way3 has been great about the entire process, so if you ever find yourself in need of a really cool web hosting company I highly recommend you check out Way3. My computer broke. I think I burnt out 2 video cards, maybe worse. It’s currently eviscerated :fight: , it’s overheated entrails strewn across my desk, fans rattling like the lungs of a terminal emphysemic. I’m pillaging the hard drive as I type, desperately pulling off my important documents, website updates, etc.

It’s a bit disturbing if you think about it too much. But I don’t have much choice, I’m not sure how much of the system I fried.

Grrr . . . This is going to make it really tough to update the website

Photoshoots Today

Today is photoshoot day for my website (TheCrossdresser.com, but you knew that already). Takes several days of preparation – getting ready to shave, putting together sets and outfits, etc. Between getting ready, changing outfits, and actually taking the pics and video, I’ve been working for 7 hours already, with at least one more set to do tonight.

Ran out of tape on the camera though, and don’t have enough disk space to download! There’s a sign I have too many photos of myself on my computer, right? So now I’ve got to sit around in my boobs and a t-shirt (they look good in a t-shirt though, believe it or not!) waiting for 10 or 15 gig of files to copy over to my other computer so I can dump the video tape and get on to the next set. Rough life, right?

At least I’ve got something fun to play with under my shirt . . .
