So I know that I’m a porn model and I should already be an expert on this stuff, but . . . I’m still learning apparently. Traveling TGirl Photographers Have It Rough

Of course everyone knows how airlines have tightened security lately. So usually I just drive anywhere within 8 hours of home without thinking twice. But recently I’ve had to do a good bit of air travel. And I know myself well enough to understand that I’m not going to last for a week-long trip without dressing up at least once. So of course I bring a few outfits, my makeup, and my cameras (can’t leave out my members from the fun ) whenever I travel. The rules about cameras in security, however, are starting to make this a huge pain

My giant new video camera barely fits in an overhead compartment, so I have to try to pack all of my camera equipment into that bag. So I stuff my backup video camera and my still camera into a small bag and squeeze it in to the video camera bag. Because I’m certainly not about to put that stuff in checked luggage! Then I have my laptop bag for work. So when I get to the security screening, I have to pull out the little camera bag, unpack both the cameras in there and drop them on the conveyor by themselves, dig out the big video camera and set it on the conveyor, then unpack the laptop and put it on the conveyor as well.

I am so waiting for a TSA officer to ask me what the heck I’m doing with all that equipment . . . And then there’s the small matter of my fake boobs. Against my better judgement I’ve been checking these guys because I REALLY don’t want to get stopped and questioned about those! Not to mention they wouldn’t fit in my carry-on luggage anyway . . .

My New Video Camera

Ok, it’s not quite as new as it was when I first mentioned it, but . . . I’ve only had time to use it once, and it’s still shiny and beautiful. So I will call it new Of course I’m talking about my HD video camera which will let me take stunningly high quality video for my site from now on

Yes, that’s a pic of it (albeit with a little Photoshopping), isn’t it cool? It’s a Canon XHA1. Because I love Canon. My still camera is a Canon, my old video camera is a Canon, my old still camera is a Canon, and my film camera is a Canon. I guess some of it is that I’m used to their products and menu structures and stuff, but they really do make great products. Sony had a camera that’s basically the same as the XHA1, but it didn’t have any features worth switching for and it has lower grade optics. Easy choice

It does take amazing footage (from what I’ve had a chance to play with), and the shape and weight balance make it easy to line up the perfect shot. Of course, most of my footage is taken from a tripod, but it’s nice to imagine the things I could do with it! The only downside is, it’s HUGE. The case I found for it just barely fits into an airplane overhead compartment, which really makes travel pretty exciting . . . but more on that later, hehe.

Porn I Forgot I Had

Have you ever been doing laundry or pulled an old coat out of the closet only to find a $20 bill tucked away in a pocket that you had completely forgotten about? Suddenly you’re $20 richer than you realized before, and that’s a pretty great feeling, right?

Well, I’ve been working on re-compressing all my old videos to streamline The Crossdresser (if you missed my discussion of that project, take a peak at it here), and I keep coming across these videos that I had completely forgotten about making. Now, I’m probably a little strange in that I enjoy watching videos of myself (don’t worry, it’s more a matter of remembering good sex rather than being incredibly narcissistic), but re-finding lost porn is definitely as exciting as finding $20 in my pocket

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holidays from TGirl’s Blog and The Crossdresser.com!

I won’t be going very far, but for all of you who are traveling, stay safe!

Oh don’t worry, I’ll still be here posting for the next week, I just don’t expect many people to be around reading until the new year You’re going to have some catching up to do!

Actually, I’m hoping to use some of the quiet time to get some real work done on the sites. You know, only 5 or so major projects that I’d like to get off the ground, no big deal. What are they you ask? Well, the really exciting ones you’re just going to have to wait and see when I finish them. They’re top secret!

The “boring” one is that I’m re-rendering all of my videos to improve file sizes and downloads. No more massive 1.5GB files, now you can get just the clip you want in a much more efficient package. Along with this I’m actually INCREASING the resolution of the videos too, so you’ll get better quality (HD quality in fact!) in bite sized 150MB clips. DVD quality videos are now in the 50MB size range, and STV quality comes in dial-up friendly 10MB files.

Don’t get too excited, remember that was the BORING project I’m working on!
